Rosalina Di Giovanni

Rosalina Di Giovanni, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 25, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on September 25, 1937, Rosalina dedicated her life to her family and ensuring that all who came to visit left with a full stomach and a happy heart.

Her home was her castle, and a haven for anyone in need. She spent her days experimenting in the kitchen, rarely making the same thing twice, unless she knew that it was your favorite dish. Food was her love language, and every meal was another way of saying “I love you. I want you to be happy. Now, eat some more!” Rosalina lived life with her heart on her sleeve. To know her was to feel loved.

Rosalina was the steel backbone to her family, which she built together with her loving husband, Fioravante. Together, they shared 69 years of marriage and created a home full of laughter, love, and of course, food. She is reunited with her husband, who left our family just over a year ago. They are survived by their adoring children, Ida (Joseph) and Livia (Barbara), who carry forward the values she instilled in them: patience, kindness, and a deep appreciation for family.

Perhaps her favorite role in this life, was as a grandmother to Andrea (Beemnet) and Jessica, who were the light of her life. She shared many fond moments over the years with her granddaughters, teaching them the traditions of their family, role-modeling compassion and kindness, and reminding them that they are always loved.

She is also survived by her siblings, Mary, Livia and Beatrice, with whom she shared a bond that transcended time and geography. Rosalina will always be lovingly remembered by her (great) nieces and (great) nephews, who have been touched by her kind spirit.

Though Rosalina has departed from this world, her impact on those who loved her is permanent. She taught us all the importance of family, community, and embracing life with open arms and a generous heart. Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched with her cooking, love, and unwavering kindness.
