It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rosaria Gemmiti, who died peacefully on Saturday, February 21, 2026 in Newmarket surrounded by her family at the age of 86.

Family was her greatest gift. Born in Veroli, Frosinone, Italy, Rosaria was the beloved spouse of Ezio, and from that love their son Frank was born. Also beloved spouse of Ciro and from that love came their daughter Mara. Her children were her everything. She was one of ten children and is predeceased by eight beloved siblings. She leaves behind her cherished sister, Margaret with whom she shared a lifelong bond. She is the grandmother of Lisa, Fab, Christopher, Monica and Miranda and great grandmother of Francesco and Giuseppe, as well as grandmother to fur babies Jamie and Bodie, all who filled her life with joy.

She will be deeply missed by her family as well as friends and all who knew her.

Rosaria will be remembered for her sweet acts of kindness, her laugh, deep and unconditional love, her resilience, words of wisdom, creativity and of course, her pizza.

She spent her life finding joy in everything, including two jobs that brought her life long friendships that she cherished. Her presence brought joy, laughter and smiles to those around her.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to everyone for their support and love.
