Salvatore Arena

Salvatore Arena, a dedicated concrete finisher at Hydro One, passed away on September 29, 2023, at the age of 83. Born in Calabria, Italy on August 7, 1940, Salvatore lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments.

Salvatore's career as a  concrete finisher spanned many years at Hydro One, where he demonstrated his exceptional skills and strong work ethic. He approached his profession with passion and dedication, earning the respect of his colleagues and leaving behind a lasting legacy of excellence.

Outside of work, Salvatore had a multitude of hobbies and interests that brought him joy. He found solace in the pages of books and often enjoyed spending hours engrossed in captivating stories. The beach held a special place in his heart as he reveled in the warmth of the sun and the tranquility of the ocean. Gardening was another pastime that allowed him to connect with nature and witness the beauty of life firsthand. In his free time, he could often be found playing cards or listening to music in the backyard, creating cherished memories surrounded by loved ones.

Family meant everything to Salvatore. He was a devoted husband to Rosa and a loving father to Giovanni (Tita), Luciano, and Anna Maria (Antonio). His grandchildren held a special place in his heart; Salvatore treasured every moment spent with Salvatore, Rosemary, Sara (Mark), Sophia, and Anthony. Their laughter filled his days with immeasurable happiness.

Salvatore is now reunited in Heaven with his siblings Domenico and Maria. Through thick and thin, they supported one another and embraced the unbreakable bond only siblings can forge. Celestina and Natale were also part of Salvatore's close-knit family circle; their presence brought countless cherished memories.

Salvatore Arena's departure from this world leaves behind a void that cannot be filled. His kindness, strength, and unwavering love have left an indelible mark on the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Although he may no longer be physically present, his spirit will forever radiate through cherished memories.

As we bid farewell to Salvatore, let us remember him with love and appreciation. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory inspire us to live each day with kindness and joy.
