On Saturday February 28 our Mom passed away. She was 95 years old. We will miss her dearly. She came to Canada in 1956 to marry my Dad. She took a chance, living in a small rented house in a village with no running water and being 26 years old at the time she knew it was her only chance to escape poverty and build a life of her own. She was brave and worked extremely hard. Passed on her values and principles to her children. She was fierce and determined. At 4'10" tall she was the 'Little General'. Although small in stature she was big in heart and could command a room with her tales of village life, fables, poems and songs, and her laugh was contagious. Everyone loved her...and feared her! She leaves behind her children Rose (Maurizio), and Romeo (Theresa); her grandchildren John Bianchi (Maria), Adam Bianchi (Niki), Alessia Milano (Collin), and Danielle Milano (Alex); and her great grandchildren Sebastian Bianchi, Noelle Bianchi, Naomi Cruikshank, Connor Cruikshank, and Isabella Clark. She also leaves behind her brother Anibale Piluso and sister Ilda Generoso, and her many nieces and nephews, along with her many friends and neighbours. We will miss her but take comfort in knowing that she will always be with us.
Rest in Peace.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Mackenzie Health Foundation
