With heavy hearts, the family of Silvana Cappadocia announces her peaceful passing on March 22, 2026, at the age of 91.
Silvana was the beloved wife of the late Eraldo and devoted, loving mother to Carlo (Miguella), Michael (Susan), Robert (Julianna), Frank (late Paula), Ronny, and the late Sandy. She was a proud grandmother to Jacob, Thomas, Alexander, Alexa, and Michael (Erica), and took immense joy in their lives and accomplishments. She will be lovingly remembered by her brother Ray and is reunited with her brother Vince and sister-in-law Vanda.
Silvana’s life was rooted in family, kindness, and connection. She had a natural gift for bringing people together, creating a warm, welcoming space for all who entered her home.
Her kitchen was the heart of her house. Through cooking and baking she expressed love in ways words never could. Made with ingredients she grew in her garden, her handmade pasta, meatballs, lasagna, and beloved lemon cake — became cherished traditions which live on in the memory of those she loved.
Silvana was deeply committed to her community, volunteering for over 25 years with the Canadian Cancer Society and spending decades serving the Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church. She worked at St. Maurice as a lunch lady, where she became a beloved figure to generations of students and staff, who affectionately knew her as “Mrs. C.” Her kindness, warmth, and dedication left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Above all, Silvana will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, welcoming nature, and generous heart. Her legacy lives on in the traditions she created, the lives she touched, and the love she shared so freely.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Silvana to Canadian Cancer Society.
