Teresa was born in San Vito Sul Ionio, Calabria, Italy to Rosa and Vito Amodio. She was the 3rd of 8 children including Giuseppe, Rosetta, Antonietta, Maria, Vito, Umberto and Clara.

Throughout Teresa’s entire life she was a woman of immense strength, grace, and compassion. Teresa's life journey took her from Italy to Australia and eventually to Canada, where she built a home grounded in love, family, and faith. She faced life's joys and heartbreaks with quiet resilience—most profoundly the loss of her young son Alessandro and later her beloved husband Gregorio.

Teresa found her greatest joy in her family. She was a proud Nonna to Giancarlo, Melissa, Alessia, Michael, and step-grandson Johnluca, and a beloved Bisnonna to Sebastian and Emilia. She passed on traditions, values, and unforgettable meals from her magical North York garden.

She is survived by her dear siblings Antonietta, Clara, and Umberto. Her sons Gregori and Alex. Her daughter in laws Silvana and Christina. As well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Teresa’s legacy of love, faith, and strength lives on in all who knew her. She is now reunited with her beloved husband Gregorio and son Alessandro, now and forever watching over us with eternal love.

Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St, between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Sunday May 25, 2025 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Trillium Chapel of Westminster on Monday May 26, 2025 at 11:00am with entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.
