We remember Teresita Martin Mabuyo (also known as Tess or Lelet) with so much love. She passed away on January 24, 2026 at the age of 67, in North York.
Born on October 30, 1958 in Manila, Philippines, Teresita lived a life centered on family, care for others and quiet strength. She was devoted to her faith, and while she didn’t always speak loudly about it, it showed in how she lived—through patience, kindness and the way she showed up for people.
She was incredibly proud of her cultural roots, and anyone who knew her knew her hospitality. Her home was always open and there was always food on the table—often more than enough. She had a way of making people feel comfortable, welcomed and looked after, whether they were family, friends, or someone she had just met.
Teresita faced life with courage and resilience. She handled challenges with grace and rarely complained, choosing instead to keep moving forward with strength and humility. She found joy in cooking for her loved ones, gardening, making people laugh, and she loved being surrounded by the people she cared about.
She is deeply loved and will be missed every day by her husband - Reynaldo, her son - Patrick, her daughter - Maria, her mother - Candelaria and her siblings - Rene, Celia, Junior, Susie, Liza, Berna, Ogie and Espie.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 29 at 5:00-8:00pm and funeral the following day at 10:00am at Westminster Funeral and Reception Centre , where family and friends will gather to honour her life and share remembrance.
Those who wish to honour Teresita are invited to do so through acts of kindness, generosity and hospitality—values she lived by every day.
