It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Vincenzo Capobianco, a cherished father and beloved Nonno, who left us on May 27, 2025, at the age of 87. He is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife Anna and his son Loreto, along with his parents Loreto and Emilia, his brother Pasquale, and his sister Giulia.
Born on May 10, 1938 in Sora, Italy, Vincenzo epitomized a life lived with love and dedication to his family. His spirit was characterized by his unwavering consideration and thoughtfulness, his caring nature, and his generous heart that enriched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Vincenzo worked hard at his job as a truck driver. He was dedicated to his work for many decades and was very fulfilled when he retired. When he was not working, he enjoyed tending to the garden in his backyard.
Vincenzo's greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He was a devoted father to Lou (Lisa Marie) and Loreto, always providing guidance and support. As a Nonno, Vincenzo found immense happiness in the company of his grandchildren, Gianmarco and Giulianna. Their smiles brightened his days, and he often shared words of wisdom with them - lessons that they will carry with them always.
Vincenzo's passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those whom he leaves behind - his sisters Concetta and Restituta, his many nieces and nephews, and the many family members and friends who loved him. His legacy of fierce loyalty to family will be remembered in the stories shared, the traditions upheld, and in the love that continues to emanate from his family.
To honour Vincenzo's life, a visitation will be held at the Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre in Toronto on June 2, 2025, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, followed by a funeral service and entombment on June 3, 2025, starting at 11:30am at the same location.
As we reflect on the life of Vincenzo Capobianco, we celebrate not just the man he was, but the love he shared, the lessons he imparted, and the cherished memories that will forever remain in our hearts. May the Lord look over him in heaven and may he rest in eternal peace.
