With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Vincenzo Marrello, on January 14, 2026, in Richmond Hill, Ontario, leaving behind a legacy steeped in love and laughter. He is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Esilda.
A beloved figure whose gentle humor and steadfast spirit touched countless lives. Born on November 10, 1938, in the picturesque town of Grimaldi, Cosenza, Italy, Vincenzo journeyed through life with an unwavering passion for his craft and an affectionate devotion to his family.
Vincenzo carved out a niche for himself as a dedicated barber in Toronto, immersing himself in his work for many years. His hands not only transformed appearances but also created bonds of friendship and trust with his patrons, making each visit to his chair an experience that would leave a lasting impression. With a personality that was both quiet and humorous, he had an innate ability to lift the spirits of those around him, leaving many with a smile and a story to share.
In life, Vincenzo found joy in simple pleasures. He was an avid vegetable gardener, nurturing the earth with the same tender care he showed his loved ones. His competitive spirit shone brightly on the bocce court, where he played with an athletic finesse that earned him numerous trophies.
Vincenzo was a loving father to Joe (Lily) and Rose (Angelo). Proud Nonno to his beloved grandchildren: Vince (Jelena), Massimo (Christina), Isabella (Lucas), Jessica, and Anthony. The bonds shared within this family were profound, woven together with threads of affection and nurturing guidance that Vincenzo imparted throughout his life. His siblings, Marisa (Frank), Lina and the late Antonio (Enza), carry forward the memories of their shared childhood joys and the unwavering support of their brother.
As we gather to honour his memory, we invite friends and family to join us for a visitation on January 20, 2026, at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre in Toronto from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will follow on January 21, 2026, at St. Norbert's Catholic Church in North York, beginning at 10:00 AM, where we will celebrate a life well-lived and the enduring essence of Vincenzo Marrello, whose spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those he touched.
Vincenzo leaves behind not merely a legacy of accomplishments but a treasure trove of memories that will continue to bring warmth and solace to all who had the honour of knowing him. Memorial donations may be made the The Alzheimer’s Society of Toronto.
