Zenaida Magdamo

To Our Dear Family, MVC & PUC Alumni and Friends,

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Zenaida Decolongon Magdamo.  She fell asleep in her Saviour on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, due to a hemorrhagic stroke at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada at the age of 82. She is the fifth child of eleven siblings.

Zenaida (Zeny) devoted her entire life to service and work for the Kingdom, and was usually a leader in music ministry or worship services. She graduated High School from Mountain View College (Philippines) and proceeded to PUC (Philippine Union College, now Adventist University of the Philippines), where she received her Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition in 1967.She then took a one year Dietetic internship in University of Oklahoma Medical Centre and became a member of both the American and Canadian Dietetic Associations. Upon completing her designations, she worked as a Registered Dietitian at North York Branson Hospital in Willowdale, Ontario, Canada beginning in 1969 for 27 years. Zeny fortunately took an early retirement in March of 1996 at the age of 55 and continued to serve in her community.

She loved mission work (trips to India and Africa) and loved God deeply. Zeny poured herself into all she did, loving the Lord and others (Music endeavours, Health workshops, Pathfinder leadership, and Discover Bible Schools facilitation) at Willowdale Seventh-day Adventist Church, where she was a member for 54 years.

We thank you all for the friendship and the memories you have made with her through these years.

Her celebration of life is scheduled on April 5-6, 2023. Details listed below:
